a little bit of anything

School is finally done! I can breathe in fresh freedom to read magazines guilt free and sleep in! Or anything else that doesnt involve some kind of gross formula or graph =) It will definitely be nice to have a couple of weeks off even though I will most likely be working for a good chunk of the time. But still, its very nice not to have to feel guilty about procrastinating assisnments. Only thing now is I cant believe how close Christmas is, I feel like I've spent so much time thinking about other things I really haven't gotten a chance to get into the full spirit.

I saw these photos the other day on studded hearts and thought this is definitely the spirit I want for my break, random, fun, maybe a crazy pillow fight with feathers?

Pyrrha Jewelry!

I wanted to share this really awesome jewelry line with you if you've never heard of it. I find it really different than a lot of stuff out there right now and Im always drawn to unique lines of jewelry. This is really starting to become my obsession, for so long it was just rings and now its definitely expanded! Jewelers anonymous please help me before Im broke!

Anyways its a handmade line that really stands apart with their unique wax seal design, they have other stuff too but the seals are definitely my favorite, and there is soo many meanings and symbols it would be so hard to decide. Im possibly thinking early Christmas present to self, but I also said that about so many different things already!
Oh and I saw on their website that they use recycled silver and gold which I always think is a really awesome concept, being green and getting to recycle and re-love some old silver thats possibly been around for a very long time.
Plus wouldnt these be great gifts!?

Decemburrr

Hey guys, as you may have noticed I've been a little MIA lately, I didnt plan to be but you know how school and tests and everything get piled on. I really dont know how time has been going by so quickly! Its already December and Im wishing for my classes to finally be done, but then I know its going to be Christmas before you know it. I need a slow motion moment or something to get all caught up! This time of year always feels like crunch time. My mom and I finished all the Christmas decorations this weekend, now I just need to start on the shopping!

So anyways regular posting is back on the agenda, I've been having stuff I wanted to post but just never got the chance too! How are you guys doing with everything? Started any shopping yet?

The December Issue

The December magazine issues are always one of my favorite of the year, Im not sure exactly why but I guess just the whole holiday season is exciting all the glitter and glitz, and all the cute party dresses or yummy appies. One of the main things I like too is its really finally feeling like winter, so all the cozy knits and chunky scarves just look so appealing. So this year I googled the covers of the December issues since I couldnt quite wait until they came out.. and unfortunately this is what I found:

Can someone please inform Elle that its December and not July. Whats with the cover? I obviously cant speak for everyone but I dont like this at all for December, maybe for June or July, but for right now it would turn me off buying it.

Now I know this isnt a magazine cover but these ads are rocking the winter feel, the cozyness even though its snowing, hot chocolate, cute lab dogs, congrats Michael Kors, you are totally making me want everything and just kicked Elles ass!

I cant wait for snow!!

October 22

So last weekend, I felt all excited because my cold was finally easing up, then just as I think I've gotten rid of it, Bammm full on sick again and worse than the first time around, seriously not fun. I was home for like 3 days not doing anything, not talking, pretty much just sleeping. So tonight even though my cough was still lingering around to choke me I went out for dinner (halls and pepsi, do not taste good together in case you were wondering) followed by a trip to my favorite little town for hot chocolate at my favorite bookstore/cafe.

Our weather has been soo unusually warm lately and they keep blabbing about how this is supposed to be our "coldest winter in 55 years," but honestly I cant remember the last near end October where I could go around with no jacket and not be freezing. But Im getting sick of it, I want my cool weather, I want to wear all my cozy sweaters, toques and boots!
And I loveee this sweater that Tao Okamoto is wearing, perfect colour!

Joe Fresh

Hello everyone I know its been awhile since I've posted but it honestly feels like just a few days ago, time has honestly been going sooo fast its hard to believe. My school week is only 4 days, and it seems to blow by, and before I can even enjoy the weekened its already Monday again! This semester is going to be over before I know it.

I hope you all had a great Holiday weekend and had good Thanksgiving dinners, I know mine was good, although turkey-less ;) I also of course got sick, but at least it was only minor, it seems like there is a really bad cold season going around right now.

So of course I had to do a little shopping on the weekend, one of my favorite spots has actually become the Joe Fresh clothing in Superstore. For those of you who have never heard of Superstore, its pretty much a giant ugly, busy grocery store that I've never liked. They always used to sell clothing, but over the past couple of years they've really stepped it up and come out with this new collection called Joe Fresh, which sells pretty reasonably priced items. So I thought I would share their latest commercial with you guys!

Sept.28

Soo its only been a few weeks into school and I already feel really behind, I dont even know how that is, I just feel like I've been procrastinating everything lately, even though I haven't. Its weird. I also feel so insanely drained of energy and I blame it on this annoying weather we've been having, its been really warm yet wet, I hate muggyness, my hair also dislikes it. Has anyone ever seen that episode of Friends where they go to the bahamas or something and Monicas hair goes insane, I feel like Im a toned down version of that.

I haven't even gotten around to watching hardly any of the spring 2011 shows! Although I did catch Burberry and I must say Im in love! I didnt think it would be possible to top fall and the amazing jackets, but I thought the show was amazing, especially the jackets! Real posts coming soon, I promise!

Oh yeah and check out this tat I saw while cruising tattoologist, thats definitely some dedication? I dont know if thats the right word, what do you guys think?

So happy the weekend is here! Even though its supposed to rain Im really hoping the temperature gets cooler soon, I've been dying to wear some of my fall stuff and today was so freakin warm! Its always opposite when you want warm you get cold, when you want cold you get warm!

Anyways, as some of you may know Im a complete ring addict, they are easily my favorite accessory. So I have to share this picture of Abbey Lee's rings, I would loveee to know where she got that turqoise ring!

As Im sure most of you have heard by now, H&M's latest collaboration is with Lanvin, which Im pretty sure everyone is insanely excited about, no!? The only thing thats keeping me from being too excited is the fact that there will probably insane line-ups, and Im pretty much not a fan of line-ups, meaning if its longer than 20 minutes, nothing is probably worth the wait for me. But I guess it kinda depends on the previews, I cant wait to see them, maybe they'll be so awesome I'll actually break my line-up rule! Collection is out November 20th for Canada/US and the 23rd for the rest of the world!
