New Additions to My Family..

My family of rings that is..

So Im feeling a little big high on caffeine right now, I guess I can thank my Timmys ice cap for that, its making me cold but Im snuggled at home wearing layers of fleece and other soft things to compensate so all is good =) Also rocking out to "Empire State of Mind" by Alicia keys and Jay-Z, I didnt even like this song at first but now the catchyness has gotten stuck in my head so I couldnt help but fall for it. Getting me in the spirit for NY fashion week perhaps?

So I said a long time ago that Id show you the latest additions to my ring collection, I swear my ring addiction grows stronger every day. I would love to design my own rings too, that would be beyond awesome. But anyways I got the first one for my bday way back in Decemeber, probably my favorite of the bunch, its beyond awesome except for the fact that the multi-dimensions of it pull loose knits, so I have to watch myself. But otherwise purrree love!

Still stud lovin'!!

It's a Beautiful Day

Today turned out to be lovely, the sun was actually out and shining, and our winter has been surprisingly warm, I love snow in the winter, but I have to admit this warmth has been kind of nice. I went downtown for the day, ended up buying a new bag, feeling a little guilty since I didnt really need a new one, but it was so nice and soft I couldnt resist.

Downtown is looking ready for the Olympics, posters and such all over town, it looks like most of the new buildings are completed too. I cant help to be a little excited even though I wasnt able to get tickets to any of the events, and that everything else is so damn expensive. It will be cool to have so many people from all over though, and I plan on going to some of the free concerts. If you live in Vancouver or near, you should definitely check them out too! Theres going to be a lot of them, such as hot hot heat, we are the city, sam roberts band, said the whale, tokyo police club, alexisonfire, our lady peace, the arkells, bedouin soundclash, and many more, all free! So thats definitely one bonus, check out the rest here.
If you are lucky enough to stay at Whistler Im pretty sure they are going to have even more free performances from artists such as estelle, one republic, all american rejects, the fray, chromeo, usher and more.

Anywaysssss after blabbing about all that I guess I should also mention this fantastic leather jacket I found from BB Dakota. I saw it when I was in the states last week, unfortunately I couldnt get it because I was only down for a few hours, damn that small spending limit!
photo: stylehive, I saw it at Macys though, on sale for about $128, very Rick Owens no?

Meow

I've kind of been having an obsession with animal prints/pictures/jewellery lately, I got this dusty rose coloured wild cat at Aritzia not too long ago, TNA I believe. Being super comfy automatically brings it to the top of my favorites list. Don't know if I've ever mentioned this before but I pretty much cannot stand wearing uncomfortable clothing, I couldn't be happier that stores have caught onto the oversized trend, I remember years ago when there was wayy less option and skin tight was more "in style" I can still remember all the sales associates telling me "it looks too big, why dont you go down a size?" No thanks =)

But with all of that being said, I still think the tight look can be seriously sexy and sometimes comfy, it just depends!

Morning Beauty

Soo happy the end of the week is here, I dont have class on Fridays so Thursday has become my new TGIF. I may slightly and slowly be adjusting to these early morning, but Im still not quite there, hence an unconcious pass out on my couch when I got home. Nothing beats a nap.

Im also getting so sick of our damn weather, rain everyday, looks like Im going to have to get something waterproof soon, but what I would really rather is just one nice warm sunny day, where I can go sock-less and be warm =) I think thats why I enjoyed this gorgeous editorial featuring Devon Aoki so much.

I Heart Alice

It seems that the new Alice in Wonderland movie is following in the footsteps of Where the Wild Things Are and doing a whole bunch of collaborations. I cant complain though because for the most part I've quite enjoyed them, including this awesome new collection from OPI...

Im thinking I need that 2nd from the left, "Mad as a Hatter", or possibly even the blue, "Absolutely Alice," and Im not even usually a blue nails type of person.

20 Day Week

Im finally finished with my first week of school, it honestly felt like the longest week ever and it was only 4 days long! Thank god I have Fridays off, I can officially say Ive pretty much been running off of coffee. I think I should add another resolution to my list, going to sleep early. I am much more of an evening person, I can stay up to 2am no problem, but then when I have to get up at 6am... you can see how that might contribute to my near unconciousness right now.

A little evening lookie loo before bed helped me discover these awesome shoes
I dont know what it is about these grey boots, but I love them, great colour too but they also come in black!I've seen these ones before, but I still love them, I dont know if my interest in studs is ever going to subside.

Both of these boots are from Jeffrey Campbell, grey from Urban Outfitters and the black from solestruck.com

Happy New Year '10!!

I hope you guys all had an exciting and safe New Years, mine was pretty relaxing, I am not usually a big New Years person, I spent the night watching the hockey game, and movies =) I am also still in slight shock at how fast the year went, Im hoping 2010 wont speed by so quickly, and it will be much better than 2009.

So I have some resolutions this year, normally I dont even make resolutions because I never ever keep them. Here go's this years:

1. Actually keep my resolutions
2. Have a more healthy lifestyle
3. Clean out my closet, and discover a whole bunch of items that I know are lost somewhere in that abyss.
4. Set aside more time for blogging!

This is all I can come up with for now, I am also going to try to take a more personal approach with my blog because I really dont convey much on here. Other items to be possibly added to my list.

Also to come the new additions to jewellery family! I already completely love them =)

Silver Belles

While looking through some magazines the past couple weeks (the perfect procrastination to homework and studying, I did try to refrain but guess that didnt work out) I saw these two lovely ladies in these amazing silvery shimmery dresses, and I cant get them out of my head. They both look fantastic, these dresses would be perfect for New Years or something.

Jennifer Aniston in ValentinoCharlize Theron in Dior

Which do you like more?
Also.. ONE more day till freedom, my last exam is tommorow, yayy!

2-0

I am still alive, although feeling completely blog deprived and soo tired! School has really been killing me these past couple of weeks, and still another week to go. Pretty much tests everyday, I feel so out of the fashion loop. Ugh, I cant wait until next Friday and I will be done! I also turned the big 2-0 last week, I have to say I do actually feel older, no more teenage years for me. At least I took a slight break from school to have a nice bday dinner out =)

Also I finally found myself some red mittens! These have been sold out everywhere I have looked, probably going to need them too since its supposed to snow. Hoping it snows lots tommorow night so my exam can be cancelled on Monday =)

Going to be posting more soon hopefully; hows everyones Christmas shopping going? Im so behind!

TGIF!

Guess its technically not Friday anymore, but Im still awake so it feels like it. I could not be more happy that the weekend is here and I finally have a free weekend to do whatever I like. This will most likely include a lot of sleep. I also cannot wait for winter break, I've been having tests almost everyday, and its just not fun.

This weekend though I plan to really get into my Christmas spirit, put up some lights, Christmas tree, put some Christmas music on, maybe buy some presents and have a starbucks Christmas drink =) Also paint my nails red and burn my Christmas tree smelling oil from bath and body works (so amazing its like I have a room full or christmas trees)

So my last weeks shopping experience went well. I found a super chunky scarf at Zara, and got a couple of things at the brand new Forever 21, our first Forever 21. And let me just say, wow, I was seriously impressed. I expected the usual tornado/natural disaster of a store, and to my absolute amazement, it was neat! and items were sized!! I never knew this type of F21 existed, maybe I was just going to bad ones in the US? I also could not believe the size of it, two whole floors, much larger than the little ones I've been visiting. Also prices, surprisingly not that much more than in the US.
Think I might get a couple of necklaces from there:

I cant remember if they were these exact ones, but something similar, Im really liking the 'tangled' messy looking necklaces right now. I want to thankyou for the tips on trying to make pictures larger too, Im trying to fight my computer inept self through that process right now, we'll see how it works out.
I really hope to do some more posting and getting back to more emails or comments as soon as Im out of school, even though I dont get back to all my emails and comments, I really love reading every single one :)
PS - Did you guys get any amazing Black Friday deals!? I wish Canada would learn from you guys, most of our sales suck.

Awesomeee

Love this necklace! (ps- you can click to make it bigger, I wish I knew how to enlarge photos)

Hope you guys are all doing well, I've been so swarmed with this one stupid project, thank goodness its due tommorow then I can get it off my mind. Then Friday Im going shopping, yayy! Apparently Aritzia is supposed to be having some awesome sale, lets hope it is! Also hoping this terrible weather stops because a) I feel like my house is going to blow down b) I dont want to be swimming in puddles and waves while trying to shop downtown!!

09/11/09

The more shots I see of models after the Dior show, the more I completely loveeeee that shade of red! Not to mention her sweater looks really cozy too.

Photo: stockholm streetyle

I finally have a night off from homework, not really, but nothing is due tommorow =) Still seriously craving a shopping trip downtown and some cactus club! I was just on Zaras website and they have a new lookbook filled with some seriously awesome looking items, tops, shoes, cardigans, and a possible perfect furry vest! You have to check it out if you havent already. I hope the items I like are still available when I can finally get there!

Not that a furry vest would be very practical right now, we've been having the shittiest weather, heavy rain and wind like everyday, payback I guess for that nice September and half of October. I think I might have to cave and buy some waterproof footwear, I swear for living in such a rainy city I am so ill-prepared.
Also debating if I should buy some Olmpics tickets since I have the entire time off school while they are here...
