Im so sick of rain, especially in June it seems like thats all we've been getting with one day here and there of nice sun just to tease us. So in keep with the rain theme I saw this rainy editorial, I wish I looked this glam in the rain.

Iced Tea, Chains and Purple Princesses

Soo I decided technology hates me. Pretty much every electronic device I own has decided to test my patience lately, and let me tell you it doesnt take long before Im ready to throw the flimsy made items on the floor. My phone, camera, ipod and laptop have decided upon a full force combined attack lately *sigh*

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I received this awesome hand chain from Leticia at LaDama! I've been wanting something like this forever, but haven't been able to find anything similar around Vancouver, it was a match made in cyberspace =) Big thanks again to Leticia!

I also bought this new nail polish, 'playfair' by opi, its kind of difficult to make out in the photo, taking self hand photos is a lot more awkward than I thought it would be. I was hoping for a light purple, but it turned out rather pearly and princessy, not my kinda thing. Oh well at least I got it at 50% off!

Long Weekend

I dont know what it is about the May long weekend but Im pretty sure it has had some sort of bad weather curse for as long as I can remember. I kind of feel like I should be getting back out my winter clothing, it really hasnt been gone for long anyways. Oh well its just nice to have a few days off and sleep in, how I miss sleep. Lots that I want to share, including a few recent purchases =)

Round up

This past week has kind of flown by, before I know it Im completely neglecting my blog. In short summary, spent last week attempting to get back into shape, refraining from spending any money by avoiding mostly all stores, movies (iron man 2), haircut.. which for once in my life I actually kind of like, this stylist will be a keeper, and watching my hockey team get eliminated from the playoffs (nooo!). Anyways now Im kind of doing a little practicum for finishing up school. Im kind of dying because I have to get up at like 530am everyday, considering Im defnitely a night person this has been insanely difficult. My goal is to catch up on everything on the weekend, one busy weekend ahead!

Anyways I try to keep myself going through this long week by checking out some of my favorite sites, one being pixie market! I love looking through their site, they always have unique items and create nice and interesting looks, here are some of my faves as of late:

Looks like Im all about the nudes right now, btw whats up with the tails? What do you guys think about them? I personally find them kinda weird.. but I do like soft things so I dont know? Only faux tales would be acceptable.. but still, right now I dont see myself buying a tail.

Tap, tap, tap

Finally done with this semester of school, I've kind of been insanely lazy and sleeping in until 12, oh summer how I love you! Now if we could only get some weather that reasonably resembles summer.

So I've been on the search for some different than denim shorts as I mentioned before, I saw these few at Urban Outfitters that look promising, I hope that they have them in the stores.. I really want to see them in person just to make sure they dont look too Pajama-esque, so far though looking good!

Fade to white

Im usually very boring and plain with my denim, just very particular in general. It has to be very soft and comfy, plus they have to have just the right amount of stretch because no stretch cuts off circulation and too much is just gross. Lately though I've kind of been tempted to break out of my mold.

I saw this pair on shopbop, J Brand Ombre.. kind of a nice summer alternative to light/faded and plain white.

These photos are from MKA's new denim line for Elizabeth & James called Textile. From what I've seen so far it hasn't gotten the greatest reviews, but I kind of love it. I never thought Id like the look of flares again since I left them behind in grade 4. Trust the Olsens to make me like the idea again. The real test will be how they look on, but I really love the syling they did for this guide. The detail is kind of hard to see in these pictures but for the rest of the denim and looks you can view them on intermix's website.

Noo Monday

Sad the weekend is over. Not looking forward to another long week, I need school to be over. My procrastination is growing everyday.

I was browsing Studded Hearts not to long ago and saw this photo.. since shoe porn is apparently a term now.. I guess this is what one might call ring porn. Love it =) Now Im sleepy and off to bed!

Byebye Long Weekend

I hope you all had a great long weekend, mine was pretty good, I was pretty much extremely lazy =)

So I mentioned before that I always have a little list of stuff I want for spring/summer, lets start with shorts. Of course I have the usual blah denim shorts (dont get me wrong though I still love them), but this summer I would like something a little different as well. I want both leather/leather-esque shorts, and possibly silk shorts. The only thing Im worried about silk shorts is they are going to come off looking like pajamas or something. And I say leather-esque because I saw these ones at Forever 21 and they are called "glazed" shorts or something, but they still kinda have that leathery appearance. I was also thinking maybe even lace shorts.. but I dont even know if these exist or how they would look, they would somehow have to be non transparent lace.. hm. What do we think about the whole leathery shorts idea?

Friday night movie night

It was a double flick movie night tonight, The Blind Side and The Notebook, I hadn't ever seen the Blind Side, good movie. Andd the Notebook can still make me cry. I always used to think my mom was crazy for crying in so many movies, apparently she gave me the crying gene because I could probably cry over some cheesy semi-sad commercial. Its bad, doesnt even matter if I've seen it before, my friend wanted to watch Bridge to Terabithia one time, I had already seen it and I thought I could handle it, definitely not! I was not expecting that movie to be sad, but I couldnt even hold it together the 2nd time around. Kind of embarassing, this is why I refuse to watch even remotely looking sad movies in the theatre.

Anyways enough crying, I went to H&M today and the new Garden Collection was in, and it was so cheap! I got one of the dresses for $15.95! I picked up a few other things while out today too despite the fact I had put myself on a no shopping policy for awhile, oops!

After looking around Stockholm Streetstyle today.. I think this kinda confirms I need to try on a longer skirt.. I havent even ever considered a long skirt since like grade 3 when I had this really hippie-ish looking one that I loved..

Spring Cleaning

So I finally decided to fulfill a goal I made so long ago and do a major overhaul clean on my room/closet. Im starting with my magazines, I dont know if I've ever mentioned that Im a total maga-holic, I just hate to throw any out. But it was getting crazy, taking up like half of my floor space, its seriously like in the hundreds. Bad, I know. My mom even offered me $40 just to throw them out, haha she clearly does not like my magazine/floor look. I came up with a plan to toss some, and just rip out inspiring photos that I want to save, and keep some others actually arranged on a book shelf. Let me tell you, its very tiring, but Im making progress!

I also dont know if I've ever mentioned I am not a fan of earrings. The whole idea of sticking something through my ear, with the fear of some possible chance it could be ripped out is just not something I care to ever experience. Not only that but I always found them uncomfortable, just the feeling of things on my ears bothers me, so I let the piercings I had grow shut many years ago.

A few days ago I saw this ear cuff/ change on earring, whatever you want to call it, and thought it was such a fabulous alternative. This is so much better to me than earrings will ever be. I honestly would love to try something like this out, would it not be so great in something brighter as well? Some turquoise, or maybe even a feathery peacock.

Little Moon

Just from this photo Im already excited to see the rest of Wilfreds new "Little Moon" collection, Wilfred has always been my favorite thing from Aritzia - minus their hike in prices, but still this looks awesome. I need me some summer.
