Hello Monday =(

So looks like the Disco Wedges were the winners of that round!

I hope you guys had a good weekend, we had fabulous weather, I think I might have actually gotten a bit of colour on my pale skin =) I went to the beach on Friday night, super nice and warm, busy with people and cute little puppies (I need one). I then got to see the new, nearly billion dollar convention center, I have to admit it is quite nice. And for dinner I decided it was about time I gave sushi a fair try, only veggie of course, have I ever mentioned I've been vegetarian for about 6 months now? Well, you can definitely add me to the list of sushi fans!
I also saw a skunk in the middle of the city, so random, but we definitely stayed clear of him.

In other news, I have apparently been living under some massive rock, or something because I completely missed the memo on Alexander Wang designing some pieces for Gap? Umm awesome..! not only do I love AW but the Gap has definitely been growing on me the past couple of seasons. Vena Cava is also scheduled for some pieces. These were the previews I found online:

Showdown Of The Killer Shoes..

Dun Dun Dunnnn....

I was cruising for some cool Fall 09 shoes, and I found this blog http://obsessedwithshoes.com/ and they had a really cool selection of shoe photo's for fall 09. So I thought we'd have a little shoe-showdown game. For the next couple of weeks I'll have a couple of pairs of shoes and you have to chose the winner, then at the end the winners will compete dun dun dunn. It would be cool if we could win some of these awesome expensive shoes, but unfortunately Im not made of money so we can all just lust over them =)

Butt there just might be a cool chance to win something coming up.. hmm..

Going Green

Today was such a lovely day, so warm, summer finally feels like it could be arriving. Put's me in a very good mood to wake up to a warm day and blue skies. I love being able to go for walks too at like 10 at night and it still warm and has that nice summer smell. The summer months are just too short here. Anddd I actually got to wear a dress today... without tights!!

I saw this photo of Lily Allen the other day on TV's website, and fell in love with the jacket. I guess it goes with my recent love for bright colored blazers, I suppose I can just change that theory to a new love for bright coloured jackets. Perfect for summer!

Shopping Trip..

So I went shopping a couple of days ago at a mall which is insanely big, I get exhausted after covering not even a third of it. So I only went into a few stores, but I ended up buying a new Wilfred Cardi and a dress by "ines" I haven't ever really heard much from that brand, but there stuff seemed pretty cute. Also went into Club Monaco, I've never payed much attention to it, but I was rather surprised, although nothing was mind blowingly different, they had nice "smooth" looking pieces accompanied by a nice neutral colour palette. Im not really sure what I mean by smooth, I know your probably thinking, "what the hell does she mean smooth? like the textures?" I dont know, but that was just my random thought when I saw them. Or maybe because it's kind of late and Im tired, who knows. Then off to Zara, where I am totally loving bright colored blazers, the red was my fave, a bright royal blue coming in second. They also had a nice assortment of sandals, a lot heavy on the jewels, but I wasn't willing to spend $80 on a sandal.
However I think this will be my alternative to the flip flop, basically the same flip-flop comfort, just a little more interesting.

Also saw a scary dolled up lady that actually startled me when I looked at her, 60+ year old ladies looking like wannabe barbies = not cool.

It's In the Acc's

My obsession for accessories only continues to grow, the more wild, out of the norm and lethal looking, the prefered. I think rings are one of my favorite, but I can definitely not rule out bracelets and necklaces. I have pretty much satisfied my need for a longer ring, but the Elizabeth & James knuckle ring will forever taunt me, especially since it is in fact still for sale on Bloomingdales website for you lucky Americans (Unfortunately bloomy's doesnt ship to Canada.)
It seems like a lot of the interesting stuff you see online comes with heavy price tags, so if any of you know of some good website's let me know. Anyways this is my latest online lust ever since I saw Rumi of fashiontoast post about this jewellery site, Made her Think: I wish I wasn't so disabled with DIY's cause I have such great ideas in my mind, if only I could figure some way to translate them into reality!

Also, happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!! And the Canucks better win on Monday! I only just started watching hockey, but it's incredibly stressful to watch.

Happy May!

Just wanted to give a little update before I skip off to sleep, hope you all had a good weekend, mine was fairly tame, work, and movies, went to see Earth. It was cute, and sad =( I also bought some "nude" nailpolish which I was quite happy with compared to my usual brights. I then stressfully watched saturday's hockey game, and a friend finally explained some of the rules to me =)
Sadly, it looks like the whole "April showers bring May flowers" thing got mixed up, more like April showers bring May more showers..

They Never Tire..

I hope Im not seeming like some sort of mka addict, but I cant help it, Im always impressed by their outfits. I know that some people give them a hard time for looking too sloppy, but I love the fact that they wear what they want, which I find pretty impressive. I dont know about you, but I think its hard sometimes to push away the thought, of people thinking your crazy for wearing what you want to wear. But even though it can be difficult at times, I do think its important.

This photo also reminds me that I forgot to mention I went to H&M to check out some of the Matthew Williamson stuff.. my location didn't carry very much, but it was kind of how I predicted from online photos.. not worth the expensive price tags! The practically plain blue cardi was about $99.00. Have any of you guys seen it in person yet, what are your thoughts?

Weekends seem to go by so quickly, but I suppose it doesn't matter too much since it's summer now =) Im also still searching for a new job, it's been so hard to find something that's not totally dull =( So I didn't really end up doing too much this weekend, but I did go back to Winners (which is where I found both of the rings). I retured the smaller one, my favorite was the one with the cut-outs as it was most of yours. Unfortunately it was the one which was too big for me, but I got lucky because I ended up finding it in a smaller size while returning the other one, yayy!

Now Im looking for a nice light brown/beige matte colored nail polish, I saw it on someone and ever since have wanted something neutral, will go perfect with my new ring =) I also want these.. Salley Hansen Nail Art Pens, I've seen them advertised in magazines for a couple of months now, unfortunately still no sign of them in store, but they look so fun!

The Rings

So I've been pining over the famous Elizabeth & James knuckle ring for soo long now, and hoping I will magically spot it somewhere or something similar, and I've had absolutely no luck... Until a couple of days ago. They aren't exactly like it, but they are quite a thrilling substitute. I bought both because I wasn't sure which I liked more, so I might still return one. Only problem is the sizes arent quite right, anyways tell me what you think, keep both, or one.. which one!?

The Recap

Hope you guys all had a good weekend! We were blessed with a few nice sunny days again, so I was making as much use out of them as I could. I also went to H&M on Sunday and picked up a couple of things, including a really lovely green colored knit scarf. Im really loving scarves and lately the bright ones have been my favorite. I bought a red one the other day and have had a royal blue one I've been wearing all the time for a couple of months now. I also found a couple of really cool rings, piks to come soon!

Alsoo for some reason I have all of sudden become totally into hockey games, perhaps the inner Canadian in me is finally emerging, but tonight's Canucks game was awesome! So GO canucks, they won 4/4 of their games in the play-offs, and Im so excited to see the upcoming games.

Anywaysss back to fashion, I could not resist posting these boots off of Jak & Jil:

It's Officially Summer!

I finished my exam today, well technically it was yesterday, but now Im officially on summer vacation! It still seems weird to me to start summer vacation in April when it's not anywhere near warm, but I'll take it either way. Now I just need to come up with some plans to keep myself occupied, hmm..
